Translation Communications Consultant (West and North Africa)
IDinsight is seeking an experienced translator and communications practitioner to support the team with high quality French translation, writing, editing, and communication advisory on a short-term contract of about an average of 10-30 hours per week between January 15th, 2023, and April 31st, 2023.

An ideal candidate has robust experience in translation and communication in global development, specifically in the research, policy, and/or evidence fields. S/he/they are familiar with the audiences IDinsight seeks to reach globally including government, NGO, and philanthropic partners, as well as international agencies and is fluent in both English and French.
The Consultant will work closely with a Senior Communications Manager, a Senior Associate, and the West and North Africa Regional Executive Director, to write, edit, and review content and ensure it is up to IDinsight standards.
The Consultant will work on the following workstreams:
Translation:
Process: the team will share the documents that need translation and the consultant will need to work on them, submit back for review and feedback and then action the feedback.
Support on written outputs:
Process: Sr. Communications Manager will liaise with the consultant to provide input on as-needed.
Communications advisory:
The start date is flexible, with a preference for candidates that can start by January 15th, 2022.
